former minister of Agriculture and Foreign Affairs, former leader of the Democratic faction in parliament (VVD), at present mayor of The Hague, the international city of Peace and Justice. He is also chairman of the Committee on City Diplomacy of the international network of cities Unitied Cities and Local Governments.

Prof. dr. Frits Bolkestein

former minister of Defense and former secretary of Economic Affairs, former leader of the Democratic (VVD) faction in parliament, former EU Commissioner for Internal Market, Fiscal Union and Taxes. Prior to his political career he was employed by Shell. At present he is president-curator of the Telders Foundation.

Jan van Houwelingen

former politician for the christian democrats (CDA) and member of parliament, state secretary of Defense, mayor of Haarlemmermeer city.

Prof. dr. Pieter Kooijmans

former minister of Foreign Affairs. Mostly known for his academic expertise as professor of International Law and European Law. He also held the position of judge at the International Criminal Court in The Hague. At present he is minister of State.

Eduard Nazarski

former director of the Dutch Refugee Council, chairman of the European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE). At present director of The Netherlands branch of Amnesty International.

Lilianne Ploumen

chairwoman of the Labour Party. In the past she was director of the international fund for women Mama Cash and the international aid organization Cordaid. She held numerous governance positions as well.

Prof. dr. Jan Pronk

minister in four different Dutch governments, serving two times as minister of International Cooperation and Development. He was a member of parliament for the Labour Party. He held different UN positions, such as deputy secretary-general of UNCTAD and special UN representative of Sudan. At present he is chairman of IKV Pax Christi, a Dutch ngo working for peace, reconciliation and justice in the world.

president of the Social and Economic Council of the Netherlands (SER) (by royal appointment), former chairman of the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO), emeritus professor Operational Research at Erasmus University, rector of Erasmus University, chairman of the Prince Bernhard Culture Foundation.

television presenter and programmer, politics commentator, former chairman of the Labour Party.

Rabbi Awraham Soetendorp

was a rabbi for the Liberal Jewish Community in The Hague for decades. He is dedicated to human rights and better relations between jews, christians and muslims. He is a founding member of Green Cross International, founder and chair of the Day of Respect Foundation as well as the Hope for Children Fund. He is an Earth Charter commissioner and a Millennium Ambassador, founding member of the Islam and the West Dialogue Group, formerly C100, of the World Economic Forum and member of the Council of Conscience that created the Charter of Compassion.
